It's been a while since I did a "this n that" post!

It's almost Thanksgiving, and this time of year I am not travelling as much so I get to spend more time in my studio. I hope to get some larger quilts done during this time, and also plan out my projects for 2012!

I recently set up a booth at the Professional Art Quilt Associates' Holiday Boutique, and I was very happy to have sold a few things! The Zombie Voodoo dolls were very popular, as well as the LED Deluxe Kits. I took these pictures of my table set up so I can tweak it for future shows.

We heard the good news that the quilts in the PowerSuit challenge are going to be heading around the nation on tour! They head to a the Lancaster Spring Quilt Show in March 2012, and Road to California in 2013!

Boy, how do you take a picture of an all black quilt? I'm having that challenge right now. I'm starting with lots of bright natural light and take it from there. I remember seeing an all black quilt in a show where the black fabrics were actually different shades of black, and it was stunning, but must have been a real pain to photograph for the show!

Remind me to tell you about "paying it forward". I haven't seen the movie, but I love the concept. I have a couple of interesting thoughts about that...

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, if you are a reader from the USA!

You are up on my blog.
If you are interested in Pay It Forward, read the book, it's way better than the movie. It is also interesting in how you see much more how most of the things the kid does fail, but it only takes a certain amount of paying it forward to help a lot of people.
Good movie too, but the book was great.
